Jacques Lamarre
Jacques Lamarre is the theatre critic for The Manchester Journal-Inquirer and a theatre critic for BroadwayWorld covering Connecticut stages. He is currently the Director of Communications for The Mark Twain House & Museum.
Prior experience includes marketing and public relations stints at Hartford Stage, Yale Repertory Theatre/Yale School of Drama, and TheaterWorks Hartford. As a playwright, he has written the short play Stool (New York 15 Minute Play Festival, New Works/New Britain), the full length comedy Gray Matters (Midtown International Theatre Festival), and an evening of one acts entitled Jacques Lamarre Has Gone Too Far (Hole in the Wall Theatre).
Jacques is co-writer for drag chanteuse Varla Jean Merman on nine comedy-cabaret shows that have toured internationally including Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre, Hartford Stage, Victoria Theatre in San Francisco, Le Chat Noir in New Orleans, and Australia's landmark Sydney Opera House, among others.
